Int’l poster designing exhibit to open on Jan 29
Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – The first International Poster Designing Exhibition will open in Tehran, the capital city of Iran, on January 29.
Announcing this, the secretary of the exhibit, Amrollah Farhadi told reporters on Sunday that after the call-up was published, some 131 works were submitted to the secretariat of the event, of which 50 artworks by 47 artists were selected for the competition section.
The exhibit will also be held in Artists House in Tehran and other cities, he noted.
“Since there was not enough time to invite international poster designers, we preferred to display some 23 works from the World Orphan Children Exhibition held in Germany some time ago,” he said.
He hoped that international artists will be invited to the event as of next year.
International Poster Designing Exhibit will be sponsored by the Guild Association of Iranian Designers and Mehak Institute.
Meanwhile, managing director of Mehak Institute, Arasb Ahmadian said that the exhibition will be organized concurrent with the Week of Campaign against Cancer.
He hoped that the event will help materialize the goals of the institute to win public support for children affected by cancer./end
