FIRST BUSINESS CENTER INAUGURATED
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Khan Bank has inaugurated its first Business center. The Business center, which will provide a full range of one-stop financial services to SME’s, has commenced its operation.
The main goals of the newly opened Khan Bank Business center are to support SME entrepreneurs and provide them with a set of products tailored to specific needs of individual customers. Furthermore, the center aims to improve business skills of the entrepreneurs, provide them up-to-date information so as to enable sound business decision making and offer consultancy service leveraging the resources of Khan Bank Incubator established in 2006. Governmental and non-governmental organizations have pledged support for the Khan Bank Business center. The officials from the Governor’s Office of Capital City, Agency for SME, and MNCCI have participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Business center.
The establishment of the Business center in Sukhbaatar district will be followed by new centers in other districts of the capital city and Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon provinces.
As part of its support for SME’s from Ulaanbaatar city and rural areas, Khan bank has lowered the interest rates for all its loan products while offering new products. Currently, business loans account for 60% of all loan portfolio of the bank, 33% of which is constituted by SME loans.
In addition, Khan bank is planning to organize Small and Medium Entrepreneurs’ Conference in 23 provinces in 2010 among entities in rural areas in conjunction with state organizations.
