NO INDONESIANS ABOARD CRASHED ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES PLANE
Jakarta, Jan 25 (ANTARA) - No Indonesians were among the casualties of the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 crash in Beirut, Lebanon, on Monday morning.
Based on information received here on Monday from a public relations official at Indonesian Embassy in Beirut, Ahmad Syofian, there were no Indonesians among the 90 passengers of the ill-fated plane.
Up till now, rescue teams were still searching for survivors of the crash. Rescue teams from the United Nations Maritime Task Force guarding the sea border between Lebanon and Israel had also joined the effort.
According to Ethiopian Airlines officials, there were 90 passengers of different nationalities on the plane, namely 54 Lebanese, 22 Ethiopians, seven cabin crew (all Ethiopian), an Iraqi, a Syrian, two Canadians , a Frenchman, a Russian and a Briton.
