.82 students rescued during hostel fire in Moscow.

MOSCOW, January 26 (Itar-Tass) - Eighty-two people have been rescued
during efforts to put out a fire in a student residential building here,
Yevgeny Bobylev, head of the press service of the city department of the
Ministry for Emergencies, has told Itar-Tass.

Bobylev specified that the fire had broken out in one of the rooms of
the 16-storey residential building of one of Moscow institutes towards
morning on Tuesday in Gorokhovsky Lane.
"In all, 212 people were evacuated from the building. No one was
hurt," Bobylev said. He pointed out that the fire was rather quickly
localized and extinguished and that the causes of the fire are being
ascertained.
