Iranian photographer shares memories of trip to Poland

TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) -- Iranian photographer Ahmad Motalaei has brought his memoirs of Poland here to Tehran with a collection of photos.

Entitled “Mountains Tunes, Scent of Orange Blossoms: This Is Poland”, the exhibit will open at the Iranian Artist Forum on Saturday January 30 in the presence of the Ambassador of Poland and several other foreign dignitaries.

“I have the pleasure of introducing you to a photo exhibition about my country, Poland, which was prepared by Mr. Ahmad Motalaei, a very talented Iranian photographer,” reads part of the introduction written by Radoslaw Pytlak, the Cultural and Press Attaché of Embassy of Poland.

It continues, “The aim of this project is to present Poland as seen by the Iranian eye, making it is very interesting for both sides. To do so, Mr. Motalaei traveled to Poland, visited some of its highlights, took numerous photos and also most importantly, made great efforts to get to know the Polish people, and acquaint himself with their history and culture.”

And in the prologue lies what Motalaei has experienced, “Rich with unique images, Poland is a country one can easily fall in love with and miss its people and its beauty dearly upon returning home.”

Motalaei, a graduate of graphic design, has focused on both graphic art and photography. So far, he has participated in group exhibitions and festivals in Japan, Russia, and Austria.

His slideshow entitled “Iran, Land of Wonders” was held at the Anadolu University of Turkey in Eskisehir early January.

Photos in color and black and white are offered for sale. Part of the proceeds will be dedicated to children suffering from cancer at Tehran’s Mahak Charity Society.

The exhibit will run through February 4 at the Mirmiran Gallery of the forum located on Musavi St., and Taleqani Ave.
