BKH WE WANT YOU TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MONGOLIA

(continuation)
After the first steps are taken, all the family re-enters the home and starts Tsagaan Sar greetings. The senior (eldest) member is greeted first and sits to the north of the ger. The next senior greets him or her, carrying a khadag (blue silk scarf) across the palm of the hands. A cup filled with milk is placed in the right hand on top of the khadag. This greeting is called "zolgokh".
The normally greeting is, "Sar shine dee saikhan shinelj baina uu?" or "Amar baina uu?” Then milk and khadag are given to the next oldest member. For each greeting, the younger of the two reaches out, palms upwards, grasp the senior person's elbows. The senior, palms down, places the arms on the other's. Then, both kiss each other on the cheek (or touch cheeks).
