Underground casino liquidated in the Far East.

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, January 28 (Itar-Tass) - Police in
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the Russian Far East, has liquidated an underground
casino. It used to function in the building of an entertainment centre, a
source at the interior department of the Sakhalin region told Itar-Tass.
The police confiscated six gambling tables, a video surveillance
system and 49,000 roubles.
The operation of all casinos was suspended in Russian on July 1, 2009.
Under a new federal law, gambling places can operate only in special
designated areas. There's one such area in the Far East. It is located in
the Primorye region.
