FAMILY OF DEATH ROW CONVICTS ASKS FOR LIGHTER SENTENCE

Karimun, Riau Island, Indonesia, Jan 28 (ANTARA) - The family and relatives of Raja Syahrial (24) and Raja Fadli (21), who had been sentenced to death for a sadistic murder in Telaga Tujuh village, Durai subdistrict, Karimun regency, Riau Islands province, have appealed for a lighter sentence because they committed the murder under the effect of narcotic drugs.

"We admitted our son (Raja Syahrial)was guilty for murder of Tio Lihuat (52) and his daughter Juliana (15), but the killing was committed under the influence of having 50 destro pills," he said following the court session.***
