HOUSE TO SET UP WORKING COMMITTEE FOR TAX ARREARS
Jakarta, Jan 28 (ANTARA) - Commission XI of the House of Representatives had set up a working committee to discuss tax arrears of corporate entities.
"The tax arrears have so far caused the state a loss of Rp 51 trillion," the commission's deputy chairman Melchias Markus Mekeng said in Jakarta Thursday.
He said the setting up of the working committee was agreed at a hearing of the House Commission XI with the Tax Directorate General.
On the occasion taxation director general Mochamad Tjiptardjo also submitted a list of 100 corporate tax delinquents to the commission, with a total of Rp 17.5 trillion in tax arrears.
The list includes a number of state enterprises and private companies.***
