KHAN BANK SAYS "YES" FOR CHILDREN
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Celebrities of Mongolian music industry established a fund dedicated to combating children's cancer last year and launched a fund-raising campaign " Say Yes for Children" under which they organized a charity concert to sponsor medical treatment of little children afflicted with cancer.
The Khan Bank Foundation joined the initiative and donated MNT 3 million. The second charity concert "Say Yes for Children” featuring a number of celebrities was successfully organized in ASA Circus on January 26, 2010. Local celebrities and entertainers joined the charity benefit to raise money for medical treatment for cancer victims. A number of supporters gathered for the event and generously contributed to the effort. The money raised from the campaign will be put towards the treatment of two children, Daarimaa and Bold-Erdene that will cost millions.
The Khan Bank Foundation, the social arm of the Khan bank that leads in social responsibility awareness, has once again joined the drive and donated another MNT 3 million this year. Khan Bank was among the 10 institutions selected by the Foundation in recognition of their on-going support for the cause and was called to the stage to receive a certificate of appreciation during the concert.
According to the official procedure, Khan Bank Foundation does not offer grants for individual requests, but targets projects and programs that make sustainable impact on the lives of a large group of individuals, social groups and communities.
Khan Bank Foundation chose to contribute to the “Say Yes for Children” campaign, since donations from the public and organizations are expended on medical treatment of children based on professional medical diagnosis.
