Gazprom to finalize South Stream deal with Hungary.
BUDAPEST, January 29 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's Gazprom giant will on
Friday finalize deals with Hungary on the construction of the South Stream
gas pipeline section across its territory and will sign with the Hungarian
Development Bank an agreement on a joint venture that would design and
finance the project.
Besides, Russian-Hungarian agreements to be signed on the sidelines of
the visit of First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov provide for the
construction of an underground gas storage facility in Hungary with a
capacity of 1.3 billion cubic meters.
Zubkov will meet Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai to discuss cooperation
in nuclear power engineering and oil industry, as well as South Stream
construction.
In 2009 bilateral trade turnover more than halved and fell to 5.6
billion dollars.
