BOXERS LEAVE FOR CHINA
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Boxers of Mongolia's Olympic Boxing Federation (MOBF) left Friday for China to take part in international competitions called "Champion of champions" organized by the AIBA (International Boxing Association).
The competitions will select champions in five weight categories. It will be attended by first four top boxers pursuant to the AIBA's rankings. The AIBA has invited N.Javkhlan, U.Monkh-Erdene and P.Serdamba to represent Mongolia. The World Champion and Olympic silver medalist P.Serdamba will not take part in the events due to injury.
The Mongolians will be coached by senior coaches B.Bandi and B.Batsuren. The official group also comprises T.Uitumen, the MOBF Secretary-General, and N.Nandigjav, a judge of the AIBA.
The government of China is attaching a great importance to these competitions. The boxers will receive USD 1,000 for every win.
