Russia rescue ship started towing damaged boat in Sea of Okhotsk.

VLADIVOSTOK, January 31 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Naporisty rescue
ship started towing on Sunday the damaged Real motor ship, flying the
Mongolian flag, towards the coast of the Primorye Territory.
The vessel, loaded with cars, was sailing from Japan to Vladivostok,
but was incapacitated by a glitch in machine compartment. The Naporisty is
now towing the vessel to Vladivostok. The weather is favourable for
towing: waves are only one-metre high, reported the Vladivostok rescue
centre. The caravan plans to reach the port of destination on February 2.
Another Russian rescue ship, Spravedlivy, ensures on Sunday safety of
the Vsevolod Sibirtsev fishing mother ship in the Sea of Okhotsk. The
vessel with a crew of several hundred people was also incapacitated: there
was a big damage in the machine compartment. The Vsevolod Sibirtsev is
anchored off the Kamchatka western coast opposite the village of
Ust-Bolsheretsk, waiting for an arrival of a repair team from Vladivostok.
The mother ship belongs to the Preobrazhenskaya base of trawling and
refrigerating fleet, Primorye Territory. The Vsevolod Sibirtsev's
deadweight - 10,200 tonnes, and the ship was built in Finland in 1989.
The deadweight of the Real dry-cargo boat, built in the Ukrainian port
of Nikolayev in 1971, is 2,230 tonnes. The motor ship's crew consists of
19 Russian seamen, and it is operated by the Korean Uni Marine Company of
Seoul.
