Divans of Persian poets to be published in India
TEHRAN, Feb. 1 (MNA) -- Divans by two Indian-based Iranian poets will be published in India on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Books by Aqil Khan Razi and Sheikh Hussein Shohrat-Shirazi will be published by the Persian Research Institute of New Delhi.
Ghulam Mujtaba Ansari from India’s Patna University revised Shohrat Shirazi Divan and Muhammad Amin Aamir from the University of Calcutta revised Aqil Khan Razi Divan.
The poets lived concurrently with Bidel Dehlavi (1642–1720) who was a famous Persian Sufi poet and they employed the Indian School of Poetry in some of their poetry.
Iranian scholar Alireza Qazveh corrected both divans for publication.
The books will be introduced during a ceremony at the Iran Culture House in New Delhi on February 9.
