AVIATION ENVIRONMENT EXHIBITION AT CHANGI AIRPORT

SINGAPORE, Feb 2 (Bernama) -- Changi Airport Group (CAG) and the
International Air Transport Association (IATA) Tuesday launched an exhibition
highlighting the aviation industry's commitment to the environment at Singapore
Changi Airport.

The CAG & IATA Environment Exhibition was opened by IATA Director-General
and Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Bisignani and CAG's Chief Executive Officer
Lee Seow Hiang.

Admission to the exhibition is free and will run until Feb 28 at Changi's
Terminal 3 Departure Hall.

The displays at the exhibition illustrate the key elements of IATA's
four-pillar strategy on the environment, focussing on technology, operations
and infrastructure.

The exhibition also highlights the trend of future aviation, exploring new
technologies such as algae-based biofuels, solar power and fuel cells that
could provide the building blocks for developing a carbon emission-free plane
in the next 50 years.

The exhibition also highlights CAG's commitment to the sustainable growth of
Singapore's aviation sector as part of the "Changi Goes Green" drive.
