Power projects worth $2b to come on stream in Iran
TEHRAN, Feb. 2 (MNA) – Iranian deputy energy minister said that 2,200 projects in the power sector worth 20 trillion rials (around $2 billion) will be inaugurated during the ten-day dawn (Bahman 12-Bahman 22 falling on February 1-February 11).
The ten-day dawn starts with the date marking the historic arrival of Imam Khomeini in the country after 15 years in exile in 1979 until the final victory of the Islamic Republic ten days later.
Mohammad Behzad told the Mehr News Agency that numerous power plants and high-voltage transmission lines across the country will be put into operation during the days.
The official noted that 10,338 families living in 420 villages will be supplied with electricity on this occasionH.
