TEHRAN, Feb. 2 (MNA) -- Qatar’s relations with Iran are strategic, brotherly and strong, said Qatar’s Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani here on Tuesday.
The historical and cultural affinities between the two countries serve as a stepping stone to promote relations, Al Thani told Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi.
He also said that Doha is ready to expand military cooperation with Tehran.
He went on to say that dialogue between Persian Gulf nations will help reinforce unity and brotherhood and promote regional security.
The Qatari official also invited Vahidi to visit his country in the future.
Vahidi said fortunately Tehran-Doha ties are standing at a good level.
He also said that Iran is ready to promote military and defense ties not only with Qatar but also with other Persian Gulf countries.
He went on to say that Tehran believes all regional nations must commit themselves to improving stability and security in the sensitive region of the Persian Gulf and the strait of Hurmoz.
