ARMY CHIEF: ARMY SET TO MAKE SAIL BANDA A SUCCESS
Ambon, Feb 2 (ANTARA) - The army chief of staff Gen George Toisutta said the army is set to make a success of Sail Banda which will be held in July and August 2010 as the event is the responsibility of the entire nation.
"This is a national program of international level, so that the Army is also responsible for its success in Maluku," he said here Tuesday.
The army chief is in Ambon to instal Maj General Hatta Syafruddin to Pattimura Division Military Commander replacing Maj Gen M.Noer Muis.
"The former Pattimura Division commander Maj Gen M.Noer Muis whose hobby is diving, when on duty in Maluku and North Maluku had preserved and well maintained the beautiful undersea world in the two provinces, both nationally and internationally," he said.
"This is a national program of international level, so that the Army is also responsible for its success in Maluku," he said here Tuesday.
