Iran to participate in Asian Handball Championship
TEHRAN, Feb. 3 (MNA) -- Iran will take part in the 2010 Asian Men’s Handball Championship which will be held in Beirut, Lebanon, from February 6 to 19.
A total of 12 teams divided into four groups of three will participate in the tournament.
Iran has been drawn in Group D along with Lebanon and Jordan. The team is scheduled to play Jordan on February 8 and two days later will face Lebanon.
The event performs as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2011 World Men’s Handball Championship in Sweden.
