INDIA W SUMATRA`S BIGGEST EXPORT DESTINATION
Padang, W Sumatra, Indonesia, Feb 3 (ANTARA) - Of the ten destinations of West Sumatra's nonoil/gas exports in December 2009, India was the biggest destination with 63,311.1 thousand US dollars.
"Second biggest in December 2009 was the United States with 19,390 dollars," head of W Sumatra's central bureau of statistics Muchsin Ayub said here Wednesday.
He said that in the January-December 2009 period the exports to India accounted for 38.45 pct of the province's total exports. Its exports to China accounted for 14.73 pct, to Singapore 14.09 pct, and to the US 12.48 pct.
But there were no exports to Pakistan and Spain during those months.
Singapore had been the third biggest destination with 11,663.5 dollars, followed by the Netherlands 6,382.7 dollars.
The exports to China reached 4,088.5 dollars, Spain 3,001.5 dollars, New Zealand 2,537.5 dollars, Malaysia 2,326.6 dollars, Italy 1,013 dollars, and to Pakistan 247.5 dollars.***
