Moldova-RF intergovernmental commission meets after one year break

CHISINAU, February 4 (Itar-Tass) - Chisinau will host the eleventh
meeting of the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission on trade and
economic cooperation on Thursday.
The Russian delegation will be led by the commission's co-chair,
Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko.
The commission will focus on stronger cooperation in the agricultural
sector, industry, energy, transport, tourism and education.
The tenth meeting of the commission was held in Moscow in November
2008, where a protocol on stronger cooperation was signed.
However, last year the meeting did not take place over tense social
and political situation in Moldova.
In 2009 Russia ranked third among Moldova's main foreign trade
partners after Ukraine and Romania.
