Yemen participants in MEFLA in Marseille

Sana'a, June 21 (Saba)- Minister of Local Administration Abdul-Qadar
Ali Hilal left for France to represent Yemen in Mediterranean
European Forum for Local Authority that will be held in Marseille
next Sunday.

Upon his departure, Hilal told Saba that Yemen is only Middle East
country who participates in the forum in honor for its efforts in
decentralization and local authority.

He said that the participation of Yemen in the forum is a chance to
demonstrate Yemen's experiment on field of the local authority and
its efforts to realize decentralization.

He pointed out to the recent elections of Sana'a mayor and governors.

Hilal added that he would hold talks with the French officials of
local authority to discuss means of enhancing cooperation between
the two countries, especially in sphere of decentralization.
