Police ascertaining yield, type of bomb that exploded in Moscow
MOSCOW, June 21 (Itar-Tass) - Specialists are ascertaining the yield and type of the explosive device that went off near a dormitory in southeastern Moscow.
A team of investigators is working at the scene. It includes
specialists from the engineering and sapper unit of city police.
"They're collecting fragments of the bomb which will be sent for
expert examinations. Only after a careful examination will it be possible
to tell what caused the blast," a law-enforcement officer underlined to
Itar-Tass.
A grenade explosion is not ruled out.
Fourteen men were hurt in the explosion. They were all rushed to
hospitals. "According to preliminary reports, their lives are out of
danger; the necessity medical assistance has already been provided," the
officer said.
