Medvedev congratulates Russian football players on victory.

MOSCOW, June 22 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the Russian national football team, its coaches and Russian fans on Russia's victory over the Netherlands in the European
championships quarterfinal, the Kremlin press service reports.
"It was a brilliant game and a brilliant victory," Medvedev emphasized.
The quarterfinal match between the Russian and Dutch football teams took place in Basel, Switzerland. Roman Pavlyuchenko of Russia scored the first goal on the 56th minute of the game. The Dutch retaliated on the 87th minute.
The second time ended in a draw 1-1.
Dmitry Torbinsky scored the second goal on the 112th minute of the
match during extra time, and Andrei Arshavin scored the winning goal on the 116th minute.
In the semis, the Russians will meet the winner of a quarterfinal
match between Spain and Italy.
