PRESIDENT OPENS POLICE LEADERSHIP MEETING

Jakarta, Feb. 8 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the National Police Headquarters here on Monday officially opened the force's 2010 leadership meeting.

The meeting which started at 10 am local time was attended by National Police Chief Bambang Hendarso Danuri, regional police chiefs and high-ranking police officers.

The theme of the annual meeting this year was "To build partnership in order to win the people's trust and serve them well."
The police leadership meeting was held to formulate the police role in helping to make the government's medium-term development plan 2010-2014 succeed.

The results of the leadership meeting would later be comminicated to police personnel throughout the country.
