KPK QUESTIONS LEGISLATOR IN BRIBERY CASE
Jakarta, Feb 8 (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday questioned legislator Panda Nababan in connection with the case of alleged bribery in the election of former Bank Indonesia (BI) senior deputy governor Miranda Goeltom in 2004.
"We needed information from Panda Nababan to complete the dossier of his case," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Monday.
Johan said KPK questioned Nababan to obtain information to complete his dossier in the case that also involved a number of other suspects.
After obtaining the information from Nababan, Johan said, the KPK would soon indict him, and refer his case to the Corruption Court in 14 days' time.
After being questioned for more than an hour since 9:30 on, Pande made no comment to waiting reporters as he was about to leave the KPK building.
Nababan came to the KPK office on Monday after repeatedly ignoring KPK summonses over the past few weeks.
Also implicated in the bribery case are other members of parliament of the 2004-2009 period , namely Dudie Makmun Murod, Endin A.J. Soefihara, Hamka Yandhu, Udju Djuhaeri, Nurdin Halid, MS. Hidayat, Achmad Hafiz Zawawi, TM. Nurlif, Baharuddin Aritonang, and Daniel Tanjung.
