MERPATI TO RESUME FLYING OVER BANDUNG - SEMARANG ROUTE
Bandung, Feb 8 (ANTARA) - Merpati Nusantara Airlines planned to resume flying over its Bandung - Semarang route this year after abandoning it for a couple of years.
"The Bandung - Semarang flights are highly potential, as no other airline company are covering the route," Bandung Sales Manager of Merpati Airlines Yanuar Fadhilah said here Monday.
He said actually the Bandung - Semarang route was no new route for Merpati. It had already been flying over the route some time ago.
He said it had been abandoned, not because of the lack of passengers, but rather because of the very few passengers who were continuing their trip on the Bandung - Jakarta route.
"Passengers on the Bandung - Semarang route are quite plenty, but its continuation on the Jakarta - Bandung trip was unfavorable," he said.
