POLICE ARREST THREE DRUG DEALERS

Medan, Feb 8 (ANTARA) - North Sumatra police arrested three drug dealers with 792 ecstasy pills of the SP type they have smuggled into the country from Malaysia, police said.

Head of Unit II, Narcotics Directorate of North Sumatra`s Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Andi Riandi said here on Monday the three drug dealers were Raja Indra Jaya Pane (40), M Rafii and Rosi Soniful (42).

The three suspects were arrested in a hotel in Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Medan, on Friday night at 7 pm. The police also confiscated 792 ecstasy pills wrapped in eight packages.

According to police, Raja Indra Jaya Pane bought the drugs at a price of Rp130 thousand per pill in Malaysia and then smuggled it into Indonesia, through the port of Tanjung Balai city.

The ecstasy pills was supposed to be sold to Rosi Soniful, who is an employee of an entertainment center in Medan at Rp140 thousands per pill.
