Mideast largest poultry industrial slaughterhouse comes on stream in Iran
TEHRAN, Feb. 8 (MNA) – The 4th largest industrial slaughterhouse for poultry in the world and the largest in the Middle East was inaugurated by the Iranian minister of agricultural jihad in Rey, Tehran Privine, on Monday.
5.5 billion euros and 40 billion rials ($40 million) were earmarked on the project.
70 percent of the project was financed by the private sector in which 1,000 people will be employed directly and 6,000 jobs will be created indirectly.
The plant has the state-of-the-art technology and a capacity to slaughter 10,000 birds an hour.
