Vietnamese Ambassador hosts ‘New Year’ reception
VIENTIANE,FEB 10 (KPL) - Ambassador Ta Minh Chau of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Laos and his wife on 9 February hosted at the embassy a reception on the occasion of the Vietnamese New Year.
Attending the reception were Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, President of the National Assembly, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and senior Lao officials.
On this occasion, Ambassador Ta Minh Chau highlighted the socio-economic achievements that the country has made despite the adverse impacts of the global financial and economic crisis.
The ambassador expressed his conviction that the Vietnam-Laos special friendship and all-round co-operation will further develop.
The ambassador also wished the Vietnamese community in Laos good health and success on the occasion of the new year and make more contribution to strengthening the Vietnam-Laos special friendly relations and comprehensive co-operation.
