Exhibition opens in Nakhodka devoted to 68th birthday of NKorean leader.

VLADIVOSTOK, February 11 (Itar-Tass) - An exhibition devoted to the 68th birthday of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il opened at the Nakhodka museum on Thursday.

On display are embroidered pictures created by talented Korean
artists and photographs featuring the North Korean leader in different
periods. The exhibition also includes books about an ideological trend -
chuch'e, that advocates development of a country relying on one's own
strength.
The North Korean consul in Nakhodka told the guests of the exhibition
about Kim Jong-Il's activities for the benefit of his motherland.
Nakhodka city mayor Oleg Kolyadin, head of the administration of the
town of Fokino Alexander Baranov asked the consul to turn over their
messages of greetings to the North Korean leader. A representative of
Nakhodka communists said that a new organization titled "Committee of
February 16" was created in Nakhodka to advocate chuch'e.
Kim Jong-Il was born on February 16, 1942. The North Korean consulate
that exists in Nakhodka for several dozen years arranges exhibitions on
the occasion of Kim Jong-Il's birthday and the anniversaries of Kim
Il-Sung's birth on a regular basis. The North Korean consulate gives
receptions devoted to remarkable dates observed in North Korea to which
local mayors of the Maritime region, public representatives and local
leaders of the Communist party are invited.
