RI'S WORKER DIES IN MALAYSIA
Medan, N Sumatra, Feb 11 (ANTARA) - Andi Utama, 33, an Indonesian migrant worker hailing from Tanjung Balai town of North Sumatra province who died in a Malaysian prison arrived here Thursday at 04.00 pm local time.
Andi Utama went to Malaysia in 2004 to seek for a job, Hendra Husin, one of his friends said here on Thursday, adding that he once returned to his family after getting the job in Negeri Sembilan state.
A week ago, however, Andi Utama`s family was informed by Hakim, one of his friends that Utama died in a Malaysian jail.
It was informed that Andi Utama had been jailed for two months but none of his family in Indonesia knew about it.
In the meantime, Tanjung Balai legislative assembly chairman, Eka Hadi Sucipto who picked up the body also complained about the case.
