RI PRESENTS MEDAL OF MERIT TO THAI NAVAL CHIEF
Jakarta, Feb 11 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government Thursday decorated Thai Naval Chief of Staff Admiral Khamhtorn Pumhiran with "Jalasena Utama" medal of merit for his services in enhancing relations between the two navies.
Indonesian Military (TNI) Chief Gen. Djoko Santoso conferred the medal on the Thai naval chief at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta.
Earlier, Khmahtorn held bilateral talks with his Indonesian counterpart Admiral Agus Suhartono to discuss latest developments in the cooperation between the two navies.
Indonesian Navy spokesman Commodore Iskandar Sitompul said Khmahtorn stressed the Thai Navy`s commitment to enhancing cooperation with its Indonesian counterpart in the fields of operations, education and training.
