EU AMBASSADOR IMPRESSED WITH 1MALAYSIA CONCEPT

KOTA KINABALU (Malaysia), Feb 13 (Bernama) -- The 1Malaysia concept coined
by Prime Minister Najib Razak will play a pivotal role in steering Malaysians to
move forward with a common purpose, thus creating a united country, Ambassador
and Head of Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia, Vincent Piket said.

He said he was impressed with the "1Malaysia" concept and that he hoped it
would be successful in delivering the desired results.
"Any move towards a common purpose is good for this country and it's the
same thing with the European Union.
"If the 1Malaysia concept really works, Malaysia's plural society is a
strength and advantage that can help spur this country to greater heights," he
said.
Piket was in the east Malaysian state of Sabah recently for a three-day
official visit.
