UNESCO TO MARK CENTENARY OF “LEYLI AND MAJNUN� OPERA
Baku, 24 June, (AzerTAj) - Centenary of Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s “Leyli and Majnun� opera will be marked Tuesday in UNESCO’s Headquarters in France.
The next day, a concert program devoted to the 90-year anniversary of the famous Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev will be held in Louvre Museum of Paris.
Tourism and Culture Ministry’s delegation led by Sevda Mammadaliyeva, Deputy
Minister of Culture and Tourism, will participate at the events.
Azerbaijani People’s Artists Mansum Ibrahimov, Nazakat Teymurova and other musicians will perform at the concert.
