RUPIAH STRENGTHENS 15 POINTS AGAINST US DOLLAR
Jakarta, Feb. 16 (ANTARA) - The rupiah strengthened 15 points against the US dollar in the Jakarta interbank spot market here on Tuesday morning.
The Indonesian currency traded Rp9,330-Rp9,340 per US dollar, up 15 points from Rp9,345-Rp9,355 per US dollar at the market's close a day earlier.
The rupiah moved upward as domestic investors grabbed the local currency, Rully Nova, a foreign currency analyst of PT Bank Himpunan Saudara Tbk, said.
He predicted that the rupiah could reach the level of below Rp9,3000 per US dollar, as external factor was still supportive, he said.
