In a scope of implementing this goal, Mongolia announced itself in 1992 as the nuclear-free zone, and had been taking measures at national and international levels in order to strengthen this status. As for the national level, Mongolia approved the law on nuclear weapons free in February 3, 2000. In connection with approval of the law, the State Great Khural approved a resolution on measures for the law.
