Al Qattami opens the sixth GCC Occupational Health Conference in Dubai
Dubai, June 24, 2008 (WAM) - UAE Health Minister HE Humaid Al Qattami,
inaugurated on Sunday the sessions of the 6th annual GCC Occupational Health Conference, which is being organised by IRR Company under sponsorship of Ministry of Health from June 22- 26.
Al Qattami delivered a speech in which he called for serious cooperation between public and private sectors, highlighting the role of private sector in achievement of the governmental
developmental objectives.
He added that the "conference is a scientific and occupational gathering in
fields of health and occupational safety", indicating that "our wise
leadership is keen to provide whatever it takes to boost production
establishments in the country through availing full healthcare to
workforce". The minister cited the directives of the UAE leadership over
cooperation among all the sectors in the country to spur progress and
safeguard distinguished position of the UAE in health and environmental
areas.
He said that the setting up of national radiation preventive laboratory has
been endorsed and the work was underway to protect medical and technical
cadres working at hospitals and medical centres across the country.
