GOVT POSTPONES POWER RATE HIKE FOR 6,600 VA SUBSCRIBERS
Jakarta, Feb 15 (ANTARA) - The government has decided to postpone a power rate (TDL) hike by state power utility PT PLN for at least 6,600 VA subscribers as of January 1, 2010.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Darwin Saleh in his brief message in Jakarta Monday night said that the postponement will last until the subscribers had been adequately familiarized with new TDL.
He also said that the postponement will also be carried out until a conclusion had been reached in a hearing between the Minister and Commission VII of the House of Representatives.
