THREE DEMONSTRATIONS TO HIT JAKARTA FRIDAY
Jakarta, Feb 19 (ANTARA) - Three demonstrations will be staged in different locations in Jakarta Friday, namely in South Jakarta and East Jakarta.
According to the Jakarta Police Traffic Management Center (TMC) Friday morning, the actions would be staged from 9 am to 1 pm local time.
The first will be staged in front of the Kopassus (Army's elite force) in Cipayung, East Jakarta, at 09.00, and the second in front of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, South Jakarta Selatan, at 11.00.
The third will be launched on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, in front of Wisma Bakrie and the office of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at 13.00.
The demonstrators in front of the KPK office include members of the Anti Indonesian Forest Destruction Committee (KAPHI) who call on KPK to deal with graft cases once and for all, and with those responsible for deforestation.
Motorists are urged to take alternative roads to avoid traffic jams.
On the weather in Jakarta, the Metereology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted rain in the morning and afternoon. ***3
