MALAYSIA WILL CONTINUE TO HELP THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysians will continue to assist the
Palestinians in Gaza, especially in providing humanitarian aid and moral
support, the Prime Minister's wife, Rosmah Mansor, said Friday.

"The Malaysian people will continue to help, where necessary and within our
capabilities, to help ease the sufferings of the victims of war in Gaza,
especially women, children and elderly people.

"We are also saddened with what happened there and we, in Malaysia,
appreciate the peace and stability in the country," she told reporters after
receiving a courtesy call by representatives of a non-governmental organisation,
Aman Palestin Berhad, and Palestinian war victims at her residence here.

The war victims are Mohamed S.I Ajjur Najwa, 23, Mustafa F.M Albanna
Samiha, 22, and Sameeh S.M Almasri Khadra, 36.

They lost both their legs in the war and are now able to walk with
prosthetic legs sponsored by Aman Palestin Berhad.
