POS MALAYSIA`S COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS ON M`SIA-KOREA RELATIONS

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- Pos Malaysia, in collaboration with Korea
Post, will issue commemorative stamps and first-day covers, in conjuction with
the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-Korea diplomatic relations on Feb 23.

Both stamps would feature the image of the Malayan tiger and Korean tiger,
said Pos Malaysia, Malaysian post services company, in a statement Friday.

Pos Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Faisal Albar said, by
purchasing the stamps and first-day covers, the public could enhance their
knowledge and understanding of the environment.

"I believe this stamp collection will appeal to all collectors, young and
old,
as well as nature and big cat lovers," he said.

The stamps, measuring 30mm X 50mm, are printed in sheets of 20 on SPM
watermarked, phosphor-coated paper and are available in 50 cent denomination.

Meanwhile, first-day covers at 30 cent each can be purchased at all post
offices nationwide while folders at RM5.50 each are only available at selected
post offices.

Stamp enthusiasts are advised to join Standing Order Deposit Account (Soda)
to enjoy the convenience of receiving their stamps and other philatelic products
without having to queue up at the post office.

In addition, customers can now enjoy the convenience of Philately Online
at www.posonline.com.my to open a Soda account, top up and check for the balance
in that account and update personal details.
