AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT RAISES MILITARY WAGES

Baku, 25 June, (AzerTAj) Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an executive order on Wednesday raising monthly salaries and monetary food allowances of servicemen and civilian employees of the Defense Ministry as the country is preparing to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its armed forces.

Under the presidential order, the servicemen will see their wages increase 50 percent on average, while the salaries of the civilian employees will rise 25 percent on average.

In another decree the President increased monthly salaries of servicemen of the Armed Forces who completed a military service.
The pay increases will take place from July 1.
