Iran can be an energy supplier to India: ambassador
TEHRAN, Feb. 23 (MNA) – India’s ambassador Sanjay Singh said Iran can help India greatly by supplying it with oil, gas, and electricity.
The top Indian diplomat in Iran made the remarks on Monday at a conference on Iran-India relations at the University of Tehran.
He said India will expand ties with Iran in energy, transportation, and automotive industries.
India has drawn up many plans for developing its infrastructure and New Delhi seeks to meet its needs by taking advantage of regional countries.
Pointing to the two countries’ cultural relationship, he noted currently thousands of Iranian students are studying at Indian universities and many Indian students are also studying at Iranian universities.
The diplomat also said New Delhi and Tehran can cooperate in fighting against terrorism.
