BOEING SHANGHAI RECEIVES CERTIFICATION FROM KOREA'S CASA

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co Ltd's
maintenance, repair and overhaul facility has received a two-year certification
from Korea Civil Aviation Safety Authority (KCASA).

The new certification came less than two months after the US Federal
Aviation Administration authorised an expanded scope of airplane maintenance
operations for the facility, the company said in a statement Monday.

The newly obtained certification allows Boeing Shanghai to conduct heavy
maintenance on Boeing 737s within KCASA management scope, as well as approved
non-destructive testing work.

The new KCASA certification further expands Boeing Shanghai's ability to
serve a broad base of international customers.

Boeing Shanghai was established in June 2006 as a joint venture of Boeing,
Shanghai Airport Authorities and Shanghai Airlines.

The mission of Boeing Shanghai is to provide high quality modification,
maintenance, repair and overhaul services to regional and international airlines
as well as to domestic Chinese airlines.
