Cypriot communities resume talks Wednesday.

NICOSIA, February 24 (Itar-Tass) - The leaders of the divided Cyprus
communities resume the Cyprus problem settling process on Wednesday after
an interval lasting more than three weeks.
The mission of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus announced on
Tuesday that the talks would commence at 10:00, local time, and would be
held at the residence of the UNFICYP mission chief in the UN-controlled
buffer zone.
Wednesday's meeting between President Dimitris Chrystophias of the
Republic of Cyprus, and Mehmet Ali Talat, leader of the Turkish Cypriots,
is the first of four ones due to be held within a period lasting until the
end of March, after which there will be a recess in the talks in view of
the forthcoming (April 18) elections of a new leader of the Turkish
Cypriot community in the Turkey-occupied territory of northern Cyprus.
By their format, the forthcoming four meetings are similar to the
January rounds of intensive negotiations. They will continue from morning
to evening and will deal with two specific aspects of negotiations: the
economy and the European Union problems, on which, as analysts believe,
the sides' positions are quite likely to draw closer together.
