UAE investments in Algeria to reach US$50b
Algeria, June 26, 2008 (WAM) - UAE Minister of Economy (MoE) H.E. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri has predicted that the country's investments in Algeria will reach US$ 50 billion within the few coming years.
Al Mansouri made the
remarks after the opening session of the 6th UAE-Algerian Joint Commission
meeting being held from June 24 to June 25, 2008, in Algiers, Algeria.
He said that the UAE committee members discussed with their Algerian
counterparts means to expand cooperation and joint investments in industry,
services, agriculture and energy sectors. Karim Joudi, Algerian Finance
Minister, who co-chairs the committee meetings with Al Mansouri, praised the
economic boom achieved by the UAE.
