Iran to release evidence of U.S., Britain’s backing for Rigi
TEHRAN, Mar. 1 (MNA) – Iran will release evidence proving that the U.S. and Britain had been supporting the Jundullah terrorist group leader Abdolmalek Rigi, MP Mohammad Ashouri Taziani.
“Before Rigi’s confession was aired on TV networks, the news agencies affiliated to the U.S. and Britain… sought to deny their relationship with Rigi,” Taziani told the Mehr News Agency.
He said even before Rigi was arrested “there were strong and clear evidences” showing Rigi’s relationship with the United States and Britain.
Taziani went on to say that the U.S. and Britain which claim fight against terrorism have been speeding up the spread of terrorism in the globe through their double-standard policies toward terrorism.
Rigi was on a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Kyrgyzstan when he was tracked down by Iranian security forces on Feb. 23.
Rigi was detained on board the flight and the plane was forced to land at Bandar Abbas Airport.
