JUDOISTS IN EUROPE
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Mongolian judoists are taking part in the World Cup competitions started February 27 in Prague, the Czech Republic. At the first day of the events, international master of sports S.Miaragchaa won a silver medal in the weight category of men's 73 kg. The competitions brought together 329 judoists from 39 countries.
A State Honored Sportsman and World Champion Kh.Tsagaanbaatar also competed at the contest of 73 kg, but he could not manage to win a medal. Miaragchaa defeated his rivals from Austria, Hungary, Czech and Portugal, and lost to a Korean judoist.
Meanwhile, Women's World Cup competitions have started in Warsaw, Poland with participation of 193 women from 30 countries. At the first day, a Mongolian judoist of the women's team M.Urantsetseg defeated only one rival, from Belorussia Darya Skripnik, after defeating by judoist from France. Thus, she has been not qualified for the repechage round.
