TELCOS TOWERS RADIATON POSES NO HEALTH RISK
KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 (Bernama) -- The radiation from telecommunication towers is safe and does not pose a health risk, said Information Communication and Culture Minister Dr Rais Yatim.
He said studies conducted in France and Spain showed that there was no health
risk from the radiation and claims that it was harmful was not true.
"The amount of radiation emitted by telcos towers is so small that it will not
have any effect even on rats," he told reporters Monday night.
So far there is no health threat from telecommunication towers radiation
reported in hospitals in the country, he said, adding that, "it also had not
affected the daily lives of people in their vicinity."
